Book Review: Maybe It's You by Christy Hayes

I requested this book on NetGalley because I thought the cover was adorable. I thought it was going to be a cute, contemporary novel; I was surprised when I realized that this is, in fact, New Adult Christian Fiction. I have never been a big believer myself, and I never pictured myself reading a Christian book. However, I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed it. The main character, Dash, is funny, kind, and completely honest (that is something that I love about people). The female protagonist, Reagan, is sassy, funny, and, in some way, reminded me of myself. It was fascinating to see how Dash decided to change his path and devote himself to God after realizing the danger he was putting himself in. However, what really struck me the most was the way Reagan opened up to God, even after she had never done so before. This novel really made me think about my religious beliefs, and I recommend this to anyone who is confused or wants to strengthen his/her connection to God. I gave this book 4/5 stars because there were some unnecessary parts that just didn't really belong.

Troy reminded me of Edward Cullen and Travis Maddox, who are some of my top fictional boyfriends. I was originally going to give this book 3/5 stars because the plot twist was bizarre and far-fetched; however, I decided that overall the characters increased my rating. Book Review: New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

I would like to start off by stating that the Twilight Saga was the first book series that I ever read after Diary of a Wimpy Kid (yeah, I know, what a shocker!). I read New Moon for the first time when I was 13 years-old. I read it again when I was around 15 years-old. Now that I'm almost 19 (it took me a few months to finish this review, so your girl is 19 now!), I decided that I needed to reread it so that I could compare my thoughts on the plot, writing style, and characters. First, the plot is f*cking stupid and dumb. I do not understand the reason why Edward would leave Bella when he clearly is head over heels for her - I mean he would sneak through her bedroom window to watch her sleep, and let me add that he would put oil on the window so it wouldn't make any noise. Oliver Stoneridge has always had a plan.
